Welcome to Rupella Fossiles

Laurent Rigollet is a French collector and prospector. He has been passionate about fossils and minerals for 40 years. It all started when his uncle gave him a couple of Fluorines from Haute Loire  when he was 10. In 1978, he joined the Club de Surgères and other local clubs, and discovered the paleontological richness of his area, called Charente Maritime. He then decided to specialize in echinoderm fossils (sea urchins, crinoides...).

He has been collecting minerals and fossils through trips to Spain, the UK, Germany but also Morocco and Brazil. He has been attending the Sainte Marie aux Mines fair for more than 20 years as Rupella Fossiles, and other trade fairs like Arnage (Le Mans) etc.
